    Assessing the practice of public-private partnership on the access to ARVS at Case hospital, Kampala, Uganda.

    The extent to which public private partnership (PPP) strategy has enhanced efficiency in the health service delivery at Case Hospital is not well understood . The study was therefore undertaken to assess the practice of public private partnership on the access of ARVs . This was a cross sectional study which employed qualitative and quantive techniques and the data was analyzed by use of SPPS package. The study found out that out of the 225 clients who were interviewed 52 % were females and 48 % were males ,48 % of the clients interviewed are either graduates or reached tertiary level, most of the clients have a challenge of delayed results like Viral loads and CD4s and high costs, the study found out that a great number of staff in HIV clinic are aware of the guidelines. The study recommends that let the partnership also look at the high costs of the laboratory results like Viral load and CD4s.
